On the afternoon of June 29, Zhu Houyu, Deputy Director of Finance and Economics Office of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, along with the delegation, investigated the project in “Qilu” Eurasia Railway Jinan Assembly Center of Shandong Hi-Speed, and presided over a symposium for special research on promoting the development of Eurasian Railway. Wang Qifeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee, Director and General Manager of Shandong Hi-Speed Group Co., Ltd., accompanied him during investigation.

Zhu Houyu listened to the report on the operation of the China – Europe Railway Express (Qilu) in the province and the construction of the Jinan Assembly Center on the site and learned about the operation of railway station and the “one-stop” station service process of “Qilu”, and carefully asked about the impact of the current international situation on the operation of the train at Dongjia Railway Freight Center.

Heads of Licheng District government, Jinan Port and Logistics Office and Licheng Holding Group made reports on the construction of Jinan International Land Port and the development of China – Europe Railway Express in Jinan respectively at the symposium.

Wang Qifeng expressed his gratitude to the Finance and Economics Office of the provincial Party committee, Jinan municipal and territorial governments and units for concern and support for Shandong Hi-Speed Group. He pointed out that our province had made remarkable achievements in the development of China – Europe Railway Express, but it was faced up with new situations and new problems such as unbalanced regional development and insufficient support policies that restricted further development in the province. As for the next step, he hoped that all departments at all levels would pay more attention to China – Europe Railway Express, support policies would be implemented as soon as possible, and the construction of relevant supporting facilities would be accelerated.

In conclusion, Zhu Houyu pointed out that China – Europe Railway Express (Qilu) had become a beautiful business card for the opening up of our province under the overall planning of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government and the promotion of the municipal Party committees and governments, Shandong Hi-Speed Group, railway department and customs had made a lot of achievements. At present, it is the critical period of upgrading of China – Europe Railway Express in our province, and we should speed up the development from four aspects: first, we should adhere to the multiple functionality, develop the formats such as train + trade and + finance, and give play to the superposition effect; second, we should adhere to the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade, strengthen domestic goods collection and build oversea locations for the needs of customers; third, we should improve the digitalization level of the supply chain platform and enable the development of trains with digitalization and intelligence; fourth, we should strengthen the overall planning of regional entities, promote the coordinated development of the park, and transform and upgrade from agglomeration to integration.
